English rockers Royal Blood stopped by Dutch station 3FM to give a live performance, and they delighted attendees with a cover of Lana Del Rey's "West Coast."
The Ultraviolence single, which hit the charts this summer, was given a slight makeover by Mike Kerr (bass guitar) and Ben Thatcher (drums).
Using some ridiculous distortion, Kerr was able to layer scratchy chords over bass lines, and then add some Arctic Monkeys-style riffage to the chorus.
The DJ called RB's performance a "mighty cover" and "better than the original." While the second statement might be a bit much, but there's no doubt the duo did a solid job.
