Country sensation Kellie Pickler, amidst the lingering shadow of her husband's passing, exhibited remarkable resilience as she embarked on a poignant return to the stage. The celebrated artist graced the hallowed grounds of Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, marking her presence at Patsy Cline's tribute concert.

In a heartfelt revelation, Pickler confessed to grappling with nerves as she stepped onto the illustrious stage. "It's the first time I've been up on stage in a while," she shared candidly with Billboard, underscoring the emotional gravity of her performance.

The reason why the singer left the limelight for more than a year was due to the death of her husband of 12 years, Kyle Jacobs, who died at the age of 49 years old in 2023.

In a video circulating online, the singer sang "The Woman I Am" from her 2013 album, which she co-wrote with her husband.

She acknowledged her late partner's talent, saying they worked on the song together over ten years ago.

"The last time I was here in the Ryman Auditorium was with him on a date night, and I know he is here with us tonight," she added.

What Happened to Kyle Jacobs?

According to People magazine, Kyle Jacobs passed away due to suicide. It was reported that there were no drugs in his system at the time of his passing.

The Nashville Police Department confirmed at the time that they were alerted to a home on February 17, 2023, and upon responding, they found Jacobs' body.

Later on, Kellie Pickler broke her silence, thanking fans for their love and support during one of the most challenging times of her life.

"It has truly touched my soul and it's helping me get through the darkest time in my life. As many of you have told me, you are all in my prayers," she added.

The couple started dating in 2008 and got engaged two years after Jacobs proposed on a beach in Florida.

Jacobs and Pickler got married on January 1, 2011, and they went on to star in the reality show I Love Kellie Pickler for three seasons.
