Among the many promotional stops former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant is making along his way to talk up his newest album lullaby and ... the Ceaseless Roar, CBS This Morning was just one of them.

Just a couple of days ago, the musician stopped over at the CBS set to chat with Charlie Rose and crew. Rose opened the interview saying, "When people ask me whose life would you liked to have lived, yours is one of them." To that, Plant commented that there's quite a bit of responsibility with having a past such as Zeppelin's.

Afterwards, the singer opened up about his new album, noting, "To be inspired is a wonderful thing." He then discussed the feeling of what it was like being able to scribe original music again after so much time spent doing covers. "I was doing covers, always doing other songs, beautiful American pieces. Songs that I could never have written because it came from your vision of music, so to go back to the U.K. and create something really fresh and new is fantastic."

Plant famously moved on from Led Zeppelin following drummer John Bonham's death back in 1980. He told the hosts, "You just have to pick up and go. The essence of a four-piece band is four pieces, and he and I had played together since we were like 16, and it was a big hole in all our lives. I just thought it was time to move along, you know?"
