Swedish singer-songwriter José González has shared a new song titled "Leaf Off/The Cave" from his forthcoming album Vestiges & Claws, which you can check out below. It's a gorgeous song, and in typical González fashion, it's largely based around finger-picked classical guitar and hushed vocals, but there's also some considerable influence taken from African and South American music, particularly when it comes to the percussion and rhythms.

"Leaf Off/The Cave" is the second song to be shared from Vestiges & Claws, following the album's lead single "Every Age." The album is set for release on Feb. 17, and will be González's third studio album, his first since In Our Nature, which was released all the way back in 2007. According to a press release (via Consequence of Sound), the album takes influence from "'70s Brazilian productions, American folk rock, and West African desert blues," which is certainly apparent in "Leaf Off/The Cave."

In support of Vestiges & Claws, José González will be setting out on a tour of Europe and North America. The tour kicks off in Madrid on Feb. 18, and hits the United States on April 6 in Philadelphia before finishing up in Los Angeles on April 29.
