Earlier today un-retouched photos of Beyoncé's 2013 L'Oreal ad campaign surfaced online, and the Internet went crazy. Those used to seeing Bey with (I woke up like this) flawless skin were surprised by the uneven texture of her skin in the photos. To be honest, all these images prove is that she is human -- incase you thought she was a supernatural being.
Smile lines are normal, no matter how old you are. Having porcelain skin, on the other hand, is less normal. We're surprised she still looks that good at her age with a high-powered career and daughter to care for.
Beyoncé has yet to comment on these leaked images, but with the feminism she has been championing, it's unlikely that she will complain. In fact, she spoke out against the use of Photoshop in 2013 when H&M tried to use the software to take away some of her famous curves.
Regardless of what she looks like caked in make-up under strong lights for a photoshoot, she is still pretty damn gorgeous. If anything these photos should make us feel better about ourselves, knowing that even Queen Bey deals with the same beauty issues we do.
