Considering the title of Miami's Ultra Music Festival, it's understandable that other music gatherings might struggle to live up. However, the Ultra Music Experience on San Padre Island, TX, will try to serve as a healthy warm-up for the big event that takes place two weeks later. The event, being held for the fourth year at Schitterbahn Beach Waterpark, will occur between March 13-15.

Each day of the mini-festival will feature four EDM acts, many of which who will also appear at the Ultra Music Festival between March 28-30. Tiësto will headline the opening night, a Thursday, Bassnectar will headline Friday night, and Zedd will headline on Saturday. Other performers appearing include Carnage, Zads Dead (unaffiliated with Zedd, as far as we know), and Boyz Noize. Both Tiësto and Zedd will also appear at the main event in Miami.

The Ultra Music Experience also represents a trend taking place within the world of EDM, with promoters looking to provide more "intimate" concerts for fans. Granted, each night of the UME is expected to draw somewhere around 15,000 patrons a night-not exactly a piano bar-size crowd-but it's still a significantly smaller show than some of the bigger festivals in the country, including Ultra Music's headlining event.

The full lineups for each day of the festival is below:

Thursday, March 13: Tiësto, Carnage, Dryo, Pegboard Nerds

Friday, March 14: Bassnectar, Zeds Dead, Paper Diamond, Keys 'N Krates

Saturday, March 15: Zedd, Boys Noize, Sandro Silva, Brazzabelle
