Rapper Kayo Redd, Waka Flocka Flame's younger brother, died yesterday in Atlanta, Rolling Stone reports. The rapper had recently released a mixtape called Redd Kisses, promoting it on Twitter just hours before his death.
According to Rolling Stone, Redd's cause of death has not officially been released; however, it is rumored to be due to a shooting in his old neighborhood or a suicide. Waka Flocka posted on Twitter yesterday to mourn his younger brother's death posting, "God please bless me" and later, "Ya Big Brother love you Kayo" with an accompanying 15-second photo montage of Redd.
The rappers' mother, Debra Antney, also mourned her Redd in a post saying, "I just lost another son." Waka Flocka lost another brother in a car accident when he was 13, according to the article.
