To celebrate the release of its third artist album, Peace Is The Mission, which has features from the likes of Ellie Goulding, 2 Chainz, Ariana Grande and Pusha T, Major Lazer decided to do a Reddit AMA to answer some unfltered fan questions. There was plenty to learn with Diplo at the controls of the AMA including some new collabs with Jack Ü, Iggy Azalea and MØ. Walshy Fire added a few bits of info, while Jillionaire was apparently stuck in traffic...typical L.A.
1. Major Lazer & Jack Ü have a collab coming and it is going to be "big."
2. Diplo hopes his second son, Lazer, never has the opportunity to join the military, despite how fitting his name would be if he rose to the rank of Major. Diplo hopes that all armed forces are abolished by the time Lazer is 18 because Peace Is The Mission.
3. Diplo has a song with Jauz and Tinashe.
4. They have done five records with MØ and one is titled is titled "Kamakaze."
5. They are going to put out the music from the Major Lazer cartoon soundtrack at the end of the summer. There are 40 songs, which will need to be whittled down so they can finish the right ones.
6. Diplo does not receive your snaps, which means all of those butt pics are going to waste.
7. Major Lazer has a "big new song" with Konshens, Benny Blanco & Iggy Azalea.
8. A crazy new version of "Terrorize" with updated vocals and chords will be released in December.
9. There will be a big difference between a Diplo and Major Lazer show: "Major Lazer new tour is basically all Major Lazer songs and edits.. We do a lot of the new slow stuff like be together with an amazing stage and dance routine."
Bonus: He wants Zed Zeppelin on Diplo & Friends, despite the fact he has no friends.
