Former Mars Volta members John Frusciante and Omar Rodríguez-López along with Bosnian Rainbows' Teri Gender Bender have formed a new supergroup called Kimono Kult. The Los Angeles-based collective will release their debut EP, Hiding In The Light, on March 4 via Neurotic Yell Records, Consequence of Sound reports.
As the article points out, the band dropped the EP's opener, a jazzy, experimental rock track called "Todo Menos El Dolor" ("Anything But The Pain") last month. Now they've shared the effort's closing track "La Canción De Alejandra" ("The Song of Alejandra"), which blends lo-fi rock with Latin flavor.
