A familiar bit of news, unfortunately, for Björk fans, as the Icelandic alternative star has cancelled several tour dates due to a scheduling issue. Among the dates cancelled are some rather major performances however, including the Pitchfork Music Festival Paris, La Route Du Rock and Iceland Airwaves in her homeland.

"We're really sorry that due to a scheduling conflict beyond our control, Björk is not going to be able to play the remaining summer and autumn tour as planned," read a statement from the performer's management team. "Björk had been really been looking forward to these concerts, so it is with regret that we announce the cancellation and we hope you understand."

So we have no idea what sort of event would be more important than these European festival dates, but whatever it is, it may be awhile before we find out.

It's not the first time that Björk has cancelled a concert and, as we mentioned, it's become somewhat familiar. The performer has cancelled dates in 2008, 2011 and 2012, for reasons ranging from medical issues to technical problems with the performer's stage setup. She has, for the most part, avoided the notoriety of a Morrissey because she complains about her health problems a lot less.

That said, we at Music Times have no right to complain, as we were fortunate enough to catch the icon at Governors Ball this year in New York. You can catch that full review here.

For the time being, it seems that the performer's show at the Wilderness Festival in Cornbury Park, England, is still on for this Friday. No other dates are scheduled at this moment, but at least we can rest assured that Björk is in good health at the moment.
