Carly Rae Jepsen's new album EMOTION is just one day away now, and to help push the follow-up to her "Call Me Maybe" featuring album Kiss on Wednesday night (Aug. 19), the pop starlet appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform her shiny new single "Run Away With Me."

Accompanied by a live backing band (including a very integral saxophonist), Jepsen appeared comfortable and happy onstage, rocking a sparkling gold jacket and a choppy dark haircut. As she blasted through "Run Away With Me," she swayed to the beat and flashed 1000-watt smiles for the audience and her band.

The single itself sounded as stunning in its live television debut as it did on record, with Jepsen's sugary sweet and high vocals playing perfectly into the layered, '80s-influenced jam.

Jepsen's performance on The Tonight Show wasn't her first dip into late night TV for this album cycle. Last year, shortly after dropping her lead single "I Really Like You," she performed on Saturday Night Live, debuting that single as well as the Blood Orange penned track "All That."

Jepsen's new album EMOTION, which has been getting rave reviews from critics, is due to be released on Friday, Aug. 21. The record is being led by singles "I Really Like You" and "Run Away With Me." However, leading up the record's release, Jepsen has also rolled out many of the album's tracks including "Making the Most of the Night," "Your Type" and "Warm Blood."
