On Saturday, Drake took the stage at the ACL Fest in Austin and shortly after his set, which Future assisted with, Drizzy hopped on Instagram and announced that a video for "Hotline Bling" will be released soon.

In a handful of pictures shared on his account, the Toronto rapper recapped his performance, including his live rendition of his latest solo release. In one photo, the single artwork appears in the background with the caption, "Video for 'Hotline Bling' coming soon."

Although details on the release are very limited, Drizzy's announcement comes with interesting timing. Just last week, one of the rapper's musical comrades, Erykah Badu, shared her remix of the buzzworthy track. Co-written by Seven Benjamin, Badu's son with Andre 3000, the rebooted track is slated to be featured on her new mixtape titled But U Caint Use My Phone.

As previously noted, Drake first detailed his friendship with Badu on his SoundCloud cut "Days In the East."

“Remember one night I went to Erykah Badu house / She made tea for me / We talked about love and what life could really be for me,” Drake sings.

Despite his seemingly constant stream of new music, Drizzy hasn't been as generous with the visual releases. His last music video for “Energy” from If You're Reading This It's Too Late dropped in early July and was directed by Fleur & Manu via Apple Music. The video received mixed reviews for its eyebrow-raising references to pop culture.

"Hotline Bling," which was also released back in July, currently sits at No. 4 on the Hot 100. The single has become one of Drake’s best-charting hits to date. It was recently reported that the OVO head honcho earned his 100th entry on the Billboard Hot 100, thanks in part to his collaborative mixtape with Future, What a Time to Be Alive.

Drake currently has 13 songs on the chart and Billboard notes that the rapper-singer has 14 titles that have hit the top 10. Rihanna's "What's My Name?," featuring Drake, is his only entry to reach No. 1.

A video for “Hotline Bling” could very well push the song into the top spot. Let’s hope for an Erykah Badu cameo, too.
