Drew Barrymore may have had a fairytale wedding, but in the November issue of InStyle, she admits that her marriage to husband Will Kopelman was not about passion but about him being a good person. In the magazine, the actress opens up about how their union was not love at first sight.

In the November issue of InStyle, Barrymore spoke candidly about her marriage to Kopelman, stating that for her "it was never really love at first sight," as reported by People. The couple married in 2012 and have two children together, Frankie and Olive, and it was Kopelman's love of family and the fact that he was simply "a good person" that brought them together, Barrymore says.

"He chooses to be a good person every day," Barrymore told InStyle. "He was someone who was always reachable on the phone, someone who was a classy human being, someone who has this incredible blueprint of a family that I don't have."

The Charlie's Angels star admits that she and her husband are "polar opposites" and their differences have been a task that they continue to strive to work out.

The former child star believes her life and decisions should ultimately set an example for her two daughters. In an interview with ABC News, the actress explained how "The best kind of parent you can be is to lead by example." Barrymore, who became emancipated from her parents at the young age of 15, according to US Weekly, is these days more focused on "consistency" and "tradition," which is what she has in her marriage to Kopleman.

The 40-year-old actress has had two previous marriages to Jeremy Thomas in March 1994 but the two divorced one month later, according to US. Her second marriage to comic Tom Green in July of 2001 ultimately ended with Green filing for divorce that December.

The 37-year-old Kopelman and Barrymore dated briefly back in 2010 and broke up, only to rekindle their relationship in February 2011. Kopelman proposed in December of the same year while Barrymore was pregnant with their first child.

The actress shared more revealing stories on her union to Kopelman, her past relationships, and growing up as a child star in her book Wildflower.
