Hot Chip recently released a brand new album Why Make Sense? and now they're back with more new music in the form of a four-track EP that includes a cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing In The Dark" mixed with LCD Soundsystem's "All My Friends."

The band has paired the cover with an official music video (directed by Kieran Evans) consisting mostly of quirky '80s public access TV footage, randomly assorted, and a surprise cameo from none other than David Byrne.

If all of this seems surprising to you, remember that the band recently recruited Byrne on stage in Brooklyn to aid them in performing the same LCD Soundsystem track a few weeks back, hence their relationship with the glam rock superstar and their affinity for the song.

Wait for around the five-minute mark before you'll start to hear "All My Friends" pan in.

Dancing In The Dark EP is due out this Friday (Oct. 23) and in addition to the Springsteen cover, the album will include a remix of their own track, "Cry For You" as well as "Huarache Lights" reworked by Soulwax and A/Jus/Ted, separately.

After seeing the band's illustrious stage presence and watching this pristine remix come together, it's clear that their chemistry is solid as a rock. When speaking to NME, one of the band's vocalists, Joe Goddard, facetiously stated, "I don't think I've ever questioned [the future of the band]... although, if I had some enormo mega-hit outside of Hot Chip, I'd obviously leave the band and pursue that."

Hot Chip is currently on tour in the UK in support of their latest album, which was released back in May via Domino Records.
