Mötley Crüe may have sworn a binding contract that ensures the heavy metal group will never tour again, but fans can still expect new material of sorts to come following this summer's final outing. The Dirt, a film based on the band's biographic book of the same name (which was released during 2001) is in production. And based on the reaction of drummer Tommy Lee, viewers can expect shock, and perhaps awe.

"What the f--k? That's insane...Even just the way the movie starts, you're like, 'How the hell are we gonna rate this thing? Triple R?'" he said upon reviewing the script, albeit not denying anything. "Probably the most f--king insanely surrealistic experience I've ever sat through."

Lee knows a thing or two about videos that should be rated "triple R," based on a famous video that emerged during the '90s featuring himself and then wife Pamela Anderson. The film will be based entirely on information from the book but will probably focus on the group's first 10 years of existence according to director Jeff Tremaine. But as 50 Shades of Grey proves, people are even more excited to see erotic things they've already read about.

Tremaine is an interesting choice for director, best known for his work on the Jackass franchise and Bad Grandpa. The Dirt will be his first scripted production. He told Loudwire magazine that the film would use relatively unknown actors to portray its subjects. Lee has suggested that the actors accompany the band on tour for some method acting we suppose. The actors should be okay, as Crüe has toned it down since the '80s, but Lee's reaction to the script suggests they might go into shock reenacting that era.
