Jay Z quickly reacted after seeing a male fan rushing beside his wife Beyoncé to take selfies with her in New York City. The incident happened as the celebrity couple stepped out of the SVA Theater in New York City after watching the premiere of Hands of Stone, which stars Usher and Robert De Niro.

In the 40-second clipped obtained by TMZ, Jay Z and Beyoncé, who were wearing matching grey suits, can be seen walking into the theater. As they were leaving, they were greeted by a big crowd of photographers and fans. One of them, a male fan, ran to the "Sorry" singer to snap selfies with her as she walked back to her car.

At first, Jay Z, who was walking behind his wife, didn't notice the fan because he was looking down. But as soon as he saw the fan, the rapper reached out for his shoulder and shoved him aside. That's when the members of the security staff intervened to push him away.

According to Hip Hop DX, the incident occurred after the couple watched the premiere of Hands of Stone, a biographical sports film about legendary boxer Sugar Ray Leonard. The film, which was helmed by Venezuelan director Jonathan Jakubowicz, features R&B artist Usher, who plays the role of Leonard. De Niro plays the boxing trainer Ray Arcel.

The film will be released commercially on Aug. 26.

Aside from Jay Z, Beyoncé, Usher and De Niro, other personalities who were spotted at the event included New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, the film's producer Harvey Weinstein, Rosie Perez and Edgar Ramirez.
