Beyoncé's upcoming Formation World Tour concert at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey has been postponed. According to a statement from the arena, the "Hold Up" singer's show on Sept. 7 has been cancelled due to the orders of the artist's doctor.

Based on the official statement released by MetLife Stadium, Beyoncé's concert on Wednesday has been rescheduled to Oct. 7 at the same venue.

"As a result of strict doctor's orders for vocal rest, Beyoncé's highly anticipated New York city area Formation World Tour date in E. Rutherford previously scheduled for this Wed. September 7th at MetLife Stadium has been postponed until Friday, October 7th," the stadium stated.

According to the organizer of the event, tickets for the cancelled performance can still be used when Beyoncé holds her concert at the MetLife Stadium next month. Those who would like to request for a refund may do so starting on Wednesday at point of purchase.

As noted by E! Online, her upcoming shows in Missouri, California, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia and Pennsylvania this month will still proceed as scheduled.

Neither the MetLife Stadium nor Beyoncé's camp has released follow-up details regarding the singer's current health condition. As noted in the venue's statement, the singer just probably needs to give her vocal cords a rest since she's been going to different parts of the country and the globe since April this year for her Formation World Tour.
