Vince Staples' GoFundMe campaign has been shut down. The rapper confirmed the news less than a week after he launched the page.

Initially, Staples encouraged his fans to donate money to his campaign and said that he is trying to raise $2 million for his retirement. After he was criticized by many, Staples revealed that he donated the exact same amount to the Michelle Obama Library.

"You can decide to donate to the cause of $2 million, which will allow me to shut the f*** up forever and you will never hear from me again. No songs, no interviews, no anything. If not, you can choose to let me do what I want to do, when I want to do it. Get off my d*** or fund my lifestyle. Either way, we appreciate you," said Staples.

The rapper earned $2,022 in donations, and he vowed to return the amount to all those who donated to his cause. He also said that he expects to not hear further slander from critics.

"I am also personally matching the donations made and donating the full amount to the Michelle Obama library of Norf Long Beach ... in honor of you c**** a** n*****. I love you all, good day," said Staples.

Vince Staples Releases 'Big Fish Theory'

Last year, Staples also made headlines after he released his second album Big Fish Theory. Some of the songs in the album are "Crabs in a Bucket," "Big Fish," "Love Can Be..." "745," "Yeah Right," "Homage," "Samo," "Party People," "BagBak," "Rain Come Down," and more.

Also in 2017, Staples talked about Big Fish Theory and confidently said that his compilation is better than anything he has ever seen.

"My album is better than everything I'm seeing right now. And I'm very honest with that. I appreciate people's works and I never want to put myself first, but my album is better than everything I'm reading right now. So I should win electronic album of the year based on my production, alone. But it can't be that because I'm rapping on it — which makes no sense because I'm better than everything right here," said Staples.

The rapper's other albums are Prima Donna, Summertime '06, Hell Can Wait, Stolen Youth, and Shyne Coldchain Vol. 2. His other songs are "Norf Norf," "Blue Suede," "3230," "Back Sellin' Crack," and more.
