Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk has released a new EP that features three remixes of the track "Awaken My Senses" from her 2017 album Utopia.

The 52-year-old announced the arrival of the short record on Twitter on Thursday, March 22.

"i am so honoured to share [Jlin, Lanark Artefax, and Kelly Lee Owens] remixes with you on slug genitalia coloured vinyl," she wrote. "i am floored that there are musicians curious enough to take my music on: couldnt be more excited about watching those in the coming years."

Utopia, Björk's ninth studio album, was released back in November last year. It entered and peaked at the Billboard 200 albums chart.

In December, she released the music video for "Arisen My Senses" which was directed by Jesse Kanda.

The "Arisen My Senses" remixes will be available in a 12-inch vinyl edition that will be released via One Little Indian Records. It will be pressed on a "Slug Genitalia"-colored vinyl, the company revealed. Pre-orders are now available via One Little Indian Record's official website.

Tinder Album

In a previous interview, Björk revealed that she has been working on the tracks that will become Utopia since she finished her last tour. She said that just like each of her albums, Utopia was a response to the previous album which was Vulnicura released in 2015.

"We did the final gigs for Vulnicura in Carnegie Hall and they were so tragic. Everybody who ever had a broken heart ever was there, and they were all telling me their stories," she told The Guardian. "I almost felt guilty. Because the whole room was crying and I was not."

She said that she and electronic artist Arca (who also worked on the album) promised that the follow-up would be a lot lighter and optimistic.

To Dazed, the Academy Award-nominated actress described the work as her "Tinder album."

"It's about that search (for utopia) — and about being in love," she explained via NME. "Spending time with a person you enjoy on every level is obviously utopia, you know? I mean, it's real. It's when the dream becomes real."

Björk will next perform at the All Points East Festival in London on May 27 and the Just Music Festival in Rome on June 13.
