The past week has been very intense for the hip-hop community, especially with the sudden arrest of GRAMMY-winning artists Young Thug and Gunna because of charges related to gang-related criminal activity.

Recently, Thug close friend, Lil GotIt shared what seemed to be the current state of the two rappers in jail after telling them what happened to his brother Lil Keed, days after their arrest.

Young Thug, Gunna Emotional After Lil Keed Death?

In a series of Instagram stories that Lil GotIt posted recently, he revealed that he has recently talked to Young Thug and Gunna about the death of Lil Keed.

"Talked to @thuggerthugger1 yesterday. keed u f*cked him up with this one but we know you guarding him through these times and make sure he gone be alright We da Proud Family can't nothing stop us," Gotit posted.

Lil Keed was one of Young Thug's proteges. The latter took on Keed under his wing at an early age after discovering his potential in rapping. Keed was signed on Thug's own label, Young Stoner Life Records (YSL), which also shares the same initials as Thug's founded gang, Young Slime Life (YSL), which was recently indicted.

The "Pushin P" hitmaker's camp recently argued that the indictment of the rapper was "intensely problematic" considering that the state has used their music lyrics to prosecute them.

Gunna and Thug were denied bail after appealing Gunna's camp has also noted that the indictment falsely portrays the rapper. They argued that he has initiated various humanitarian and philanthropic efforts which makes him "innocent."

Young Thug, Gunna 'RICO Indictment'

Young Thug was arrested last week after being part of a 56-count grand jury indictment that involved the alleged street gang YSL (Young Slime Life), which authorities believed he have founded in 2012 in Atlanta.

Gunna was also named as one of the 28 people indicted. He turned himself into the police days after.

The arrest came on the heels of the 88-page indictment which also charges Thugger with conspiracy to violate the state of Georgia's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organisations (RICO) Act and participating in criminal street gang activity.
