Mick Jagger's comments about the rock industry have caused quite a stir among fans after an interview, and now, Måneskin frontman Damiano David is speaking out to share his thoughts about the legend's opinion.
According iHeart, the Rolling Stones singer answered a question about Harry Styles, and he mentioned that up-and-coming musicians like Machine Gun Kelly and Yungblud make him think "there is still a bit of life in rock n' roll."
Speaking to the band's cover of NME's Big Read, the Italian rocker reacted to Jagger's comments, saying his opinion was "a very old-fashioned way to see it."
David continued that no one keeps rock n' roll alive as it's impossible to "kill."
For him, what they're doing as a group is far different from what MGK is doing as well as what Yungblud and Willow Smith do.
"A lot of artists are bringing back that kind of sound and energy: distorted guitars and real drums, to fucking play with a band with real analogue sounds, stage-diving - all the rock n'roll s***," he added.
The singer also mentioned that music is developing and everything is colliding and mixing "in a good way."

Elsewhere in the interview, he was also asked about his opinion on rock purists' views that compare new bands to legendary groups like the Rolling Stones; David said he loves pissing them off because it's his guilty pleasure.
"For me, it just makes no sense to expect us to behave like the Stones or Queen. It already happened and peaked. They f****** created a legacy and nobody can touch it," he responded.
David also thought that it was stupid and pointless to expect a group of musicians composed of 20-year-olds to replicate the music scene of the 70s and 80s.
Since they're in 2022, the band is trying their best to create something new that would make them feel happy and satisfied.
Måneskin initially started their careers as street performers. They became famous in 2017 after placing second on the eleventh season of the Italian version of "X Factor."
Their career skyrocketed even more in the international music scene after winning the Eurovision Song Contest last year for the song "Zitti e buoni."
Today, they have been performing in different cities across the world and appearing on TV shows in the United States.
