Welcome home Beans!

According to XXL, former Roc-A-Fella rapper Beanie Sigel is out of prison. Reports say he was released from the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia this morning.

The rapper served just under two years in the facility on two charges, one of tax evasion and one of drug possession. He served his sentences concurrently.

The magazine's site also reports Sigel was initially arrested Aug. 29, 2012, after police pulled over a car he was riding in. Prescription drugs were discovered in the vehicle.

Sigel was sentenced to 23 months for the drug charge, in addition to the two years he was to serve for failing to file federal income tax documents. He was incarcerated for failing to pay more than $728,000 in federal taxes between 1999 and 2005.

Now that he's home, we're sure fans are anxious to hear some new music. If he's taking Remy Ma's route, something should be dropping any minute now.

Prior to his arrest, Sigel released his first independent album This Time. The album featured guest spots by Oliver Laing, Akon, Junior Reid, State Property and Game.

It was his first release since 2007's The Solution which was released on Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam Records.

Beanie Sigel also starred in the 2002 film State Property and its 2005 Dame Dash-directed sequel.

"Obviously, he's had an incredible amount of success and opportunity in his life," his attorney said back in March. "He's also made some mistakes, which have ended up putting him in custody. He's ready to go ahead and put that behind him and move on with is life."
