Taylor Swift is ready to marry her longtime lover, Joe Alwyn, but there is one condition.

According to the National Enquirer, the "Midnights" hitmaker feels she is already of marriageable age. She does, however, want to guarantee that she and the British actor will not have any problems if their marriage does not work out.

The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter wants to settle down, marry, and have children, according to a source, but she is hesitant.

Taylor, in fact, wants Joe to sign a prenup, but the latter is adamantly opposed.

"He compares it to gambling on failure."

According to the source, one of Taylor Swift's ambitions is to become a billionaire, and she is well on her way to doing this.

Her lover, on the other hand, has a lower net worth than the "Lavender Haze" singer, therefore she wants to financially protect herself from him.

Celebrity Net Worth reported that Taylor Swift has a net worth of $400 million, whereas Joe Alwyn has a net worth of $4 million.

"Taylor is delighted to shower Joe with all the mansions, trips, and $1,000 meals he wants, but Joe says he'll feel like a kept man if Taylor doesn't go all in and make him both her life partner and her money partner."

"He's placed a line in the sand, and it may end their lengthy relationship as a result," they added.

Taylor Swift's relationship with Joe Alwyn is her longest as of this writing. She has been in relationships with other guys, but they were short-lived. So everyone in her camp hopes she and the "Mary Queen of Scots" star end up together.

However, the decision would purportedly be based on whether or not the couple can agree on signing a prenuptial agreement.

The Real Story Behind Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn's Prenup

Still, the story from the outlet should be taken with a grain of salt.

While Taylor Swift is wealthier than Joe Alwyn, the latter has a solid career that has already put him up for life.

There is also no evidence that the couple is arguing about money; if there was, their relationship would not have lasted this long.

The couple has been dating for six years as of this year.

There's also no sign of the two getting married anytime soon.
