Following their monumental transformation of Buckingham Palace for HRH Queen Elizabeth II platinum jubilee party and Coldplay's World Tour earlier this year, NorthHouse continues to add the awe into epic events - this time morphing the iconic Hollywood Bowl with visuals into a dazzling Colombian 'casita' to recreate the magical world of Disney's 'Encanto' for a Live-to-film concert experience.

'Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl' was an extraordinary live show that broke out into full musical performance pieces during the musical numbers with the film's original cast, a full orchestra and a 50-person ensemble.

The Live-to-film concert experience was produced by Fulwell 73 Productions, Live Nation-Hewitt Silva and Disney Concerts, along with AMP Worldwide.

The concert event on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 November was filmed for an original Disney+ special coming out on 28th December.

NorthHouse created the bespoke 'Encanto' projection mapping, screen visuals and broadcast graphics and collaborated with 'All of it Now' who provided augmented reality.

Creative Director and Founder of NorthHouse, Tom Bairstow said: "I could instantly tell this was gonna be such an epic show for both the live audience and the audience watching from home on Disney+. We wanted to take this to a whole new level and bring several layers of visuals, graphics and VFX to the performance. We also wanted to bring another layer of visuals to the show for the broadcast audience and worked with All of it Now who created the augmented reality visuals."

NorthHouse teamed up with an all-star global creative team including Sally Wood (Fulwell 73's Creative Showrunner), Gabe Turner, Lou Fox and Emma Conway (Executive Producers), Chris Howe (Director), Misty Buckley (Production Designer), Jamal Sims (Creative director and choreographer), Al Gurdon (Lighting designer), All of it Now (Augmented Reality) to create 'Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl' .

Tom continued: "I came out to L.A for meetings and workshops with the Fulwell73 and Disney teams. A few weeks later, we presented our initial designs and it was incredible to feel such excitement from the whole team, including Byron and Jared the film's directors. They were so excited about creating the 'homecoming this film finally deserves'. Staying true to the film's Colombian culture and aesthetic whilst breaking out into more explorative aesthetics in many other moments."

Conductor Anthony Parnther led the live full orchestra performing the film's score live-to-picture, along with the cast and special guest artists performing the songs live. A Colombian band, featuring musicians from the original soundtrack, accompanied the orchestra.

This success follows on from NorthHouse's most recent shows including projection-mapping Buckingham Palace for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, Coldplay's Music of the Sphere's World Tour and the Dubai Expo.

Tom finished by saying:

"It's been an absolute pleasure working with Disney, Fulwell73 and all-star creative team on this show. We can't wait for everyone to see just how awesome this show truly is. The response in the bowl was absolutely incredible. So many kids (and adults) faces were lit up with sheer joy, plus, I'm getting maximum points with my two boys, for working with Disney on one of their favourite films."
