Taylor Swift's cat might be one of the richest animals in the world because of her pet owner.

Olivia Benson, Swift's Scottish Fold companion, has ranked on The Ultimate Pet Rich List.

According to the website, Benson is considered the third richest pet in the world.

"With a whopping $97 million net worth, Olivia has found success outside of the world of Instagram influencing," the write-up noted.

Meanwhile, the first and second spot on The Ultimate Pet Rich list was occupied by Gunther VI, a german shepherd owned by the Gunther Corporation worth $500 million. Nala Cat comes in second, a cat with over 4 million Instagram followers worth $100 million.

According to NME, Oprah Winfrey's dogs trailed behind Swift's Olivia, all worth $30 million collectively.

How Did Taylor Swift's Cat Earned that Net Worth?

Per Yahoo!, Benson earned that much money after appearing on one of Swift's biggest songs in her career.

"The Scottish Fold earned her fortune starring alongside her owner in several music videos, has crafted her own merchandise line, and has had cameos in many big-budget ads, including for the likes of Diet Coke and Ned Sneakers," the write-up says.

In Taylor Swift's chart-topping "Blank Space," Benson made a cameo. The video now has over 3 billion views on YouTube. Aside from this, Swift's feline best friend was in an AT&T ad, along with the music icon.

What Is The Name of Taylor Swift's Cat?

Taylor Swift has three cats, and they're all named after powerful characters.

Swift's first and most famous cat is Meredith Gray, named after Shondaland's "Grey's Anatomy" lead character Meredith Grey, played by Ellen Pompeo, who appeared in Swift's "Bad Blood" femme fatale music video. Swift's second cat was named after Mariska Hargitay's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" character Olivia Benson. Interestingly, Hargitay and Pompeo are two of the longest actress on television to have played the same character in the same series.

Hargitay's character Captain Benson has been up and running since 1999; Pompeo, on the other hand, has been playing the fierce yet very passionate surgeon Meredith Grey since 2005.

Taylor Swift has another cat, and he's called Benjamin Button. Named after the famous character, Benjamin, like Olivia, was also on another Taylor Swift music video - in "ME!" with Brendon Urie from Panic! at the Disco.
