GloRilla's concert venue has always been known as a "death trap," and the shooting incident proved its name.

Rochester's Main Street Armory welcomed thousands of fans who wanted to watch GloRilla and Finesse2tymes' performances Sunday. But after 11 p.m. that night, a shooting incident happened that triggered a stampede, leaving two attendees dead and eight others injured.

Fans who were present at GloRilla's concert told Rolling Stone that they heard rumors about the venue's past safety practices that put others in danger.

The 28-year-old Tamira De Jesus told the magazine that she and other attendees learned about the venue's mixed reviews, with some claims that it should have been shut down a long time ago. What made the rumors sound eerier was the talks about the place being a "death trap."

"I didn't see anything but the whole crowd pushing everyone towards the bathroom like a wave pool," she recalled. "People [began] to fall over and get stepped on."

Security and police blocked several doors following a report of a physical altercation inside the venue. However, due to the limited exit doors, the crowd became more hysterical as they attempted to go out alive.

Rochester's Main Street Armory was built from 1905 to 1907. The US Army initially used it before the armory was allowed to host several events until it was shut down in the late 1990s due to the absence of a fire suppression system.

It reopened in 2005 after going through extensive renovations. Before the shooting incident, the venue underwent a physical fire safety inspection and followed fire codes.

Despite that, rumors about paranormal activities surfaced in the past few years.

Is Rochester's Main Street Armory Haunted?

No incidents were reported from the day it was built until it was closed down in the 1990s. Its revival in 2005, however, sparked talks that the facility has ghostly phenomena.

According to Lite 98.7, attendees and even employees witnessed moving objects and apparitions. There have also been sightings of what locals dubbed "Ghost Boy."

The reports led Syfy Channel's Ghost Hunters to visit the site, and a video of one paranormal team showed the investigators getting attacked, allegedly, by a ghost amid the investigation.

No new sighting has ever come out to the public so far. After GloRilla's concert, rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie's concert was already scheduled for Saturday. However, the event has since been canceled.
