Taylor Swift is finally heading back on the road for her highly-anticipated tour, "The Eras Tour," which will boast a setlist that will span her entire discography.

The very first stop of this tour? Glendale, Arizona on Mar. 17 and 18 at the State Farm Stadium.

Whether the city's mayor, Jerry P. Weiers, is a huge fan or he recognizes just how historic this forthcoming show will be, he decided to temporarily rename the city in honor of the singer.

Earlier this week, Weiers finally unveiled Glendale's new name: "Swift City."

"And now therefore, I, Jerry P. Weiers, mayor of the city of Glendale, on behalf of our city council, do hereby proclaim that on March 17 and 18, 2023, the city of Glendale will be renamed Swift City," he announced during a press conference.

"And all Swifties are encouraged to share their smiles that could light up this whole town on all the social media platforms because the best people in life are free."

The new name received mixed reactions from Swift's fans, who had their own suggestions and ideas on what Glendale's new name should have been.

"Missed opportunity to call it Swiftdale [or] Era-zora," a fan wrote.

"When Woodvale was right there?" Another wrote.

Some were thrilled to hear about "Swift City," and even wished that they could move and live there.

"I wish to live in that city," a fan wrote.

"I'm moving to Swift City, put the money in the bag and I stole the keys, current living place was the last time they ever saw me, Driving the getaway car. Welcome to Swift City all lit up with lights but they never blind ME," another wrote, referencing several of the singer's songs.

Welcome to 'Swift City'

Here are a couple of reminders for fans who are going to "The Eras Tour" kickoff this weekend.

According to AZ Central, the pick-up and drop-off points will be located in the Black Lot at Montebello and 95th avenues.

The State Farm Stadium will implement a cashless policy, so fans would have to be prepared to cash in through their phones.

Fans should probably start looking into clear bags, as the stadium will implement a clear-bags-only policy for public safety.

And lastly, lights of any kind won't be allowed in-so fans who were hoping to wear their version of the "How You Get The Girl" dress from the "1989 Tour" might have to reconsider.
