David Bowie, although he became one of the most prominent singers of the 20th century, revealed that he did not like singing at all.

For six decades until his death, Bowie inspired musicians in the industry and released chart-topping songs and albums that made him an influential figure. He saw instant popularity when he released his first successful song, "Space Oddity," in 1969.

Despite that, Bowie never fully loved singing.

In an article shared by Mirror, it revealed that the late crooner hated singing because he did not like his singing voice. He also revealed in an unaired interview with CBS' "60 Minutes" that he only sang his tracks because no one else would perform them.

"It's not an enjoyment; I mean, someone's gotta do it. I like interpreting songs, I guess that's what it is about - the whole process. I like writing, firstly and foremostly," he said. "I would give my right arm - maybe not my right arm. I would give somebody's right arm if I could find someone to sing all of my songs for me, I really would."

Bowie added that he could not imagine his life without writing, producing, and singing.

Despite not fully loving it, the singer soon expressed how glad he was to be in that profession.

Through his active years, the "Starman" hitmaker released countless of albums that charted across the globe. Among his successful music projects included "David Bowie," "The Man Who Sold the World," "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars," "Aladdin Sane," "Young Americans," "Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps)," "Never Let Me Down," "Earthling," "The Next Day," and "Blackstar."

Meanwhile, Mike Garson's biography "Bowie's Piano Man" revealed that Bowie learned about his death from a psychic in the late 1970s. The singer reportedly knew he would only live to 69 or 70 - the former happened to him.

"There are a lot of psychics who are out of their minds and full of it, but this one was real. David knew it and didn't doubt it for a second," he said. "He told me about [the reading] with certainty, accepted it and planned his future out based on that. He had 30, 40 years to plan out his life."s
