Cruise was said to have told his friends already that he and the "Waka Waka" hitmaker had incredible chemistry that he expected to officially date her. However, reports about Shakira's relationship with Hamilton emerged, leaving the actor broken.
His close friend confirmed to the news outlet that his ego "had been dented" after Shakira rejected him and chose to have a relationship with his friend and Formula 1 driver.

After the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, Spain, a source confirmed to People that they have a "fun and flirty relationship."
"They're spending time together and in the 'getting to know you' stage," the insider claimed. "It's fun and flirty."
While they have not addressed the rumors yet, Shakira is enjoying the spotlight as she received Billboard's first Woman of the Year award at the inaugural Latin Women in Music gala. She seemingly shared her thoughts about her split from Pique in her acceptance speech, saying she felt what it is to be a woman more than ever this year.
