When news of Madonna getting hospitalized after a "serious bacterial infection" hit headlines, fans were completely distraught and worried.

It has been several days now, and there are not a lot of official statements regarding the "Like a Virgin" singer's health, however, a good friend of Madonna's, Rosie O'Donnell, has taken it upon herself to update the fans.

The comedian took to social media to share a throwback picture of the pair when they starred in "A League of Their Own," a comedy film released in 1992.

She captioned it, "Remember when? #leage #mo." The post garnered the attention of several fans, who flocked over to ask how Madonna was doing.

"Rosie please please say something about M if she's feeling a little but better or any news. The fans are expecting some info, 4 days without knowing anything from Guy or anyone," a fan worriedly wrote.

In one of the comments asking about Madonna's health, O'Donnell replied, "she is recovering at home. She is very strong in general."

"Thank you so much for giving fans some hope and info. That was so nice of you and it is extremely appreciated."

Madonna Takes a Step Back?

While Madonna recovers from her illness, reports noted that her highly anticipated "Celebration" tour was getting scaled back to accommodate the singer's health and condition.

The "Celebration" tour will be having several shows across 45 cities, with 84 shows, however, now it seems like fans will have to deal with lesser number of shows.

"In the cold light of day, considering what Madonna has just been through, and considering she is 64, was it really sensible to book so many tour dates in the first place?" An insider told the Daily Mail UK.

"This schedule would be grueling for even the youngest and fittest of artists. More than 70 gigs across the world are extreme. Madonna and her team are going to have to consider cutting back on the schedule."

Official Word on "Celebration" Tour

Madonna, who has been waiting to launch the "Celebration" tour for years now, must be pretty devastated; however, no one from her team-including her manager Guy Oseary has announced anything about the canceled shows.

The update was: "We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows."
