September 22 is the day fans are looking forward to as several artists are expected to release new songs on that day. More recently, it appears that Drake has also joined the bandwagon as he moved his album launch on that very same day.

According to Forbes, the "Hotline Bling" hitmaker has been teasers and visuals about his new record "For All The Dogs" on social media, but he refrains to share complete details such as the official tracklist and featuring celebrities.

Initially, he never announced any release date, but he assured fans that it would be coming out soon. However, he finally revealed that the latest project would be available for purchase and streaming starting on September 22.

In an Instagram post, the singer shared an old video of his father, Dennis Graham, performing on a local TV show in Toronto under his moniker Cousin Dennis.

He then proceeded to perform along with his blues band after he told the crowd that he is from Memphis, Tennessee.

In the caption, Drake confirmed the release date of his album.

Doja Cat Dropping New Album on September 22

It appears that Drake has a competition on the same day of his album release date as Doja Cat would also drop "Scarlet" on the same day.

Forbes suggested that the female rapper was the first one to announce details about her album so it's possible that Drake did the big move in order to directly compete with her.

So far, Doja Cat has already released three singles off her record: "Paint the Town Red," "Attention," and "Demons," all of which were massive hits for fans.

As of this writing, Drake has yet to reveal more information about his record, but Nicki Minaj is confirmed as one of the collaborators.

In an Instagram live, the "Super Bass" hitmaker said she and her fans wanted his album to be released after failing to drop it initially.

"Drake, I'm not going to tell you one more time. The Barbz want the album! He can be Champagne Papi... I don't care, papi, the Barbz want the motherfucking album," she said.

Doja Cat Changes Album Artwork Amid Allegations of Copying Metal Band

At first, Doja Cat surprised fans by releasing the official album cover of "Scarlet" which featured an illustration of a spider with pink hues and white background while a small drop of blood could be seen on top.

However, online users immediately noticed that the album looks exactly like the artwork from the German metal band Chaver's cover, which is also set to drop on the same day as the female rapper's.

Following the issue, the "Kiss Me More" hitmaker changed the album art into two spiders who appeared to be fighting.
