"Dancing With the Stars" winner Cezary Olszewski has been found dead in a hotel. He was 42.

Local media outlets reported that the Polish dancer was found in a hotel room in his hometown of Ostroleka in northeastern Poland on Monday, October 30. He notably appeared on "DWTS" in 2008 and stayed in the show for two years.

What Was Cezary Olszewksi's Cause of Death?

As of press time, Olszewski's cause of death has yet to be confirmed. Daily Mail also cited Ostroleka police spokesperson Tomasz Żerański's confirmation that a probe has been launched to determine what happened.

The authorities have not commented on whether foul play was involved or if he died of natural causes.

"We have recorded the death of a 42-year-old man in one of the hotels in Ostroleka," Żerański said. "Police officers are conducting investigations under the supervision of the prosecutor. The cause of the man's death will also be determined."

Fans, friends and colleagues paid tribute to the dancer on Facebook as they grieve him following the massive loss.

One said, "Cezary was an extremely positive, ambitious, cool and talented guy. He loved to dance and teach people."

"We will keep you in our hearts as you were. In other words a great person," another wrote, while one added, "I don't believe it .. Rest in peace."

"Devastated to hear about the sad news of Cezary Olszewski. He was such a talent. What a huge loss to the dance industry," one wrote.

Cezary Olszewksi's Career Explored

Olszewski notably performed in "DWTS" between 2008 and 2010. He won the Crystal Globe in his first year on the show as he performed with Magdalena Walach.

He also shared the stage with several dancers including Anna Nowak-Ibisz, Anna Popek, Dorota Zawadzka and Grazyna Wolszczak.

Olszewski is survived by his wife of five years, Aneta Gworys. They wed in 2018 but opted to keep things private.

According to the outlets, his friends described him as someone from a broken family who found dance his way to escape the heartbreaking events.

"The fact that he didn't stay on the street was definitely influenced by the fact that apart from going to school, he had something to do after school, he had something to do - dance," a friend continued.
