Dolly Parton just released her new album "Rockstar" in a few hours and it featured some of the biggest musicians in the music industry from different genres. Although she loved how the record turned out, she regrets not having these two artists in the tracklist; who could they be?

According to an interview with Taste of Country Nights, the country legend said she regrets not being able to work with two artists.

The first one was Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones. Although she already spoke about their potential collaboration in the past, she clarified that he was indeed supposed to appear in the album.

However, they had problems with scheduling as well as the track that they should record so they never really got the chance to be in a recording studio together.

In addition, Jagger was also busy working on the Rolling Stones' most recent album "Hackney Diamonds."

Dolly Parton Says Mick Jagger Was Willing to Work With Her

Although the two never had a solution for their scheduling problem, Parton said Mick Jagger was willing to work with her.

"He was willing to do it - willing to work with me on something - but we could never catch up until I ran out of time and he was working on his, as you know now, their new album. So I missed him," she told the outlet.

In addition to Mick Jagger, the musician was also set to collaborate with another legendary artist, Cher.

Parton explained that they were going to do something, but they "never did find the right thing to do."

One of the main reasons behind it is that Cher's genre isn't rock, but the singer said she's "Cher, you know?!"

Dolly Parton 'Rockstar' to Feature Major Collaborations

Despite the two musicians mentioned above not making it to the final cut of Parton's "Rockstar," the new album features a handful of artists.

Some of the names and songs included in the official tracklist are: "Every Breath You Take" with Sting, "Open Arms" with Steve Perry, "Wrecking Ball" with Miley Cyrus, "Don't Let The Sun Go Down" with Elton John, and many more.

Dolly Parton's new album is now available for streaming on major music platforms online.
