Joe Bonsall, popularly known for being a member of the popular band The Oak Ridge Boys announced that he will not be performing on tours anymore as he plans to retire soon; find out the reason why he will stop playing for fans.
According to Billboard, the member of the Country Music Hall of Fame band will leave his good pals and stop performing due to his health problems as he had been struggling with a neuromuscular disorder.
In a statement shared on social media, the tenor singer said he's currently at a point where he couldn't walk anymore so he's "basically retired from the road" and it's been difficult for him.
Bonsall later expressed his gratitude to his bandmates as he had been a part of the group for over five decades.
"It has been a great 50 years, and I am thankful to all the Oak Ridge Boys band crew and staff for the constant love and support shown to me through it all. I will never forget, and for those of you who have been constantly holding me up in prayer, I thank you and ask for you to keep on praying," he added.

Per the outlet, The Oak Ridge Boys will switch things up whenever they go on tour as Joe Bonsall will not be a part of their touring band anymore.
In the past, original members include Bonsall, Duane Allen, William Lee Golden, and Richard Sterban.

The tenor musician noted that a man named Ben James will be replacing him on tour. He clarified that the new singer might have a different sound than his, but he "brings a ton of talent to the table."
The Oak Ridge Boys Tour 2024
The Oak Ridge Boys is currently scheduled to perform at a series of farewell concerts this year, which will kick off two nights at the Grand 1894 Opera House in Galvestone, Texas, on January 20 to 21.
Titled "American Made Farewell Tour," the band will also visit major cities across the United States such as Lancaster, Ledyard, Montgomery, San Antonio, Hartville, Hutchinson, Defiance, and many more.
The group already had a series of shows back in September.
"It's exciting to have been able to have survived this many years with the same lineup of singers, and to be able to go out there and thank people... It's going to be an emotional tour," Golden said in a statement.
