The latest Jimi Hendrix documentary film is almost ready to grace the DVD shelves of the late guitar icon's fans world-wide. 'Jimi Hendrix: Electric Church,' which boasts footage from the legendary gig at the July 4, 1970 Atlanta Pop Festival, will release a specially-crafted home version on October 30. -

Stephen Colbert kicked things off right in his premier as host of 'The Late Show' as band leader Jon Batiste and Stay Human led an all-star cast consisting of blues and R&B legends Buddy Guy and Mavis Staples as well as newer acts including Alabama Shakes' frontwoman Brittany Howard, St. Paul and the Broken Bones frontman Paul Geneway, Ben Folds, Derek Trucks, Aloe Blacc, Kyle Resnick, Susan Tedeschi and Colbert himself, in a rendition of Sly and the Family Stone's "Everyday People" that set the tone for the shows to come. -
Jack White Makes 'Six-Figure' Donation to National Blues Museum for Interactive Exhibit
Jack White caught flack when hacked e-mails revealed his distaste for the Black Keys allegedly ripping him off...so at least he's generous in acknowledging the musical acts from which he pieced to gather his signature style. The guitarist made a healthy contribution to the National Blues Museum, which is scheduled to open in St. Louis later this year. The organization told media that the dollar figure was in the "six figure" range. -
