Darius Rucker Reveals Release Date of New Album 'Southern Style'
Hootie & The Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker has revealed some more details about his upcoming solo album, including its title and release date. According to "The Boot," the album is titled "Southern Style" and is set for release March 31 through Capitol Nashville. In support of the album, Rucker will be setting off on tour this spring, hitting 30 North American cities, starting with Holmdel, New Jersey, May 14. "Southern Style" will be Rucker's fifth solo studio album — his fourth country album — his first since his Christmas album "Home for the Holidays," which was released in late October. It will be Rucker's first non-Christmas album since 2013's "True Believers." "There's going to be some fun songs on the record," Rucker told "radio.com" about "Southern Style," "but just like I always do, you always write some songs about relationships and family because they always come up, and it's always some good song that you can't not record." For his Southern Style Tour, Rucker will be joined by Brett Eldredge, The Brothers Osborne and A Thousand Horses. Tickets go on sale Jan. 26, and though the exact dates have yet to set, a complete list of cities has been revealed, which you can check out below:
