• Stream ‘Parallel Lines,’ New Summer-Ready A-Trak Collaboration with Phantogram [LISTEN]

    Fool's Gold label lead Alain Macklovitch, best known as A-Trak, has been on a collaborative streak lately, working with Jamie Lidell on "We All Fall Down," Disclosure on a "Magnets" rework, and Rick Rubin on Star Wars Headspace. Now, the Canadian producer and DJ has joined forces with NYC synth-pop duo Phantogram on the summer-ready fist pump-inspiring new track titled "Parallel Lines."

    The mysterious Los Angeles-based producer, ZHU has come alive. After months of staying totally silent, ZHU unveiled a brand new website generationwhy.com, which has just a large word scramble and an email sign up. Once you sign up, it tells you what number sign up you are. Within the word scramble there is a list of artists who ZHU is collaborating with on music that will presumably appear on his upcoming album or at least an EP. Among those that have been spotted so far are Skrillex, Alunageorge, A-Trak, Gallant and interestingly enough Bone Thugs N Harmony.

  • Electric Adventure Announces 2015 Lineup

    New Jersey's Electric Adventure has announced the 2015 lineup of DJs and artists who will be heading down to Atlantic City to perform this summer. The two day-festival, dubbed Bloom, will host names like Pretty Lights, Dillon Francis, G-Eazy, A-Trak, Ty Dolla $ign, Dannic, Kid Ink, Tritonal and many others. The surprisingly diverse bill will make for a very interesting crowd that may come for the trance, the hip-hop or the trap.

    A-Trak has announced a new United States club tour for this summer titled Gold Gone Wild -- a play on words from his label Fools Gold Records. The six-date tour will take A-Trak and his two handpicked friends, AraabMuzik and Ape Drums, to six of the "Push" DJ's favorite cities in the U.S., where he will perform at some of their most well-established clubs. Araabmuzik will be along for the full tour, while Ape Drums will join for just two dates.

  • A-Trak Says He Introduced Kanye to Daft Punk

    The relationship between A-Trak and Kanye West goes a long way back. The "Push" DJ was Kanye's touring DJ back in the mid-2000s and scratched on 'Graduation' and 'Late Registration.' Adding to the intrigue, A-Trak went on Genius, the crowd-sourced lyric website that provides backstories and context for songs, to give his side of the story for how records were made when he was directly involved with Kanye, including the fact that he introduced Kanye to Daft Punk's music.
