Is This The End of Odd Future For Good? Hodgy Beats Calls Tyler the Creator a Fraud
Many expected an Odd Future reunion at their festival Camp Flog Gnaw last weekend. Perhaps this was because the group had been broken up for almost half a year, or because Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (OFWGKTA) was advertised as the headline act, but it seemed many were disappointed when only Mike G, Domo Genesis, Left Brain and Hodgy Beats took the stage for a 70-minute set. The set was then pre-empted by a profanity-laced speech delivered by Tyler the Creator onstage. -
Earl Sweatshirt Eviscerates Drake- Says He Can Be A “Vulture” On Young Rappers' Songs, Work
As AllHipHop reports, Drake has a penchant for hopping on the stylistic train of other up-and-coming rappers. He teamed up with and emulated Future, remixed ILoveMakonnen, and allegedly ripped of D.R.A.M.'s "Cha Cha," culminating in a formidable list of instances when Drake's originality has been called into question. Adding to the cavalcade of artists accusing Drake of musical plagiarism, Earl Sweatshirt questioned Drake's authenticity after a video showing him dancing to Kodak Black's "SKRT", tweeting, "Drake found Kodak Black? smh welp." -

Earl Sweatshirt Shares Thoughts On Possible Odd Future Break Up
Tyler, The Creator caused a stir, unknowingly, two nights ago when he got nostalgic looking over past Odd Future pictures with friends and shared some of his thoughts on social media. He made it seem like the group, which has not been very active recently, had broken up when he stated, "although its no more, those 7 letters are forever." Fans started talking and headlines started to appear overnight questioning if this was in fact the end of the group. Tyler attempted to clarify the situation yesterday saying his words shouldn't have been taken literally, but hinted at some tension among the members. Earl Sweatshirt has responded to the whole situation on Twitter and had some pretty unpleasant words for all of the "Odd Future runoff." -

The past few weeks have been amazing for hip-hop, as the Empire soundtrack and Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly have led both the Billboard 200 to three straight weeks of rap at no. 1. Although it's only been a two-week streak on the Album Sales chart (Empire was outsold by Madonna's Rebel Heart during its first week), this week is still newsworthy as the Top 3 spots on the chart are all held by hip-hop albums. -
