"Days of our Lives" star Freddie Smith has plead guilty in an Ohio court to a string of charges stemming from an Oct. 7 accident that critically injured his girlfriend, Alyssa Tabit. The actor was allegedly drunk when he got behind the wheel after leaving a wedding reception with Tabit. Smith is accused of misjudging a turn and crossing the center line of State Route 84 before hitting a culvert which caused the car to flip end-over-end. -

He and longtime girlfriend Alyssa Tabit were involved in a violent one-car crash in Kingsville Township, Ohio, earlier this month that left her in critical condition after undergoing emergency surgery. After a few weeks of silence, Smith finally reached out via his Facebook page to show a bit of gratitude, saying:
