XL Recordings Release 25th Anniversary Collection
Few labels have been so proficiently efficient as XL Recordings, in terms of turning our consistently quality work from such a small roster of performers. The label-which currently counts Adele, Radiohead and Jack White as members-is releasing a 25th anniversary compilation, titled Pay Close Attention, that features music from throughout its existence. The title is a reference to a Kool Keith sample used by label member The Prodigy for the track "Out of Space." -
Gil Scott-Heron's Final Studio Album, 'Nothing New,' to be Released on Record Store Day
The best part of Record Store Day is getting access to music that's totally unavailable otherwise. Not just limited edition vinyl releases, but music that's literally never been released. One such release this year will be Gil Scott-Heron's final studio album, Nothing New. There will be 3,000 copies available on vinyl for this year's April 19 event.
