• Zac Brown Band Southern Ground Festival 2016 Lineup, Dates, Ticket Info Announced

    Zac Brown Band will be going back down South in 2016. On Friday (Dec. 11), the "Homegrown" band announced its second annual Southern Ground Music & Food Festival in Charleston, South Carolina. But, ZBB won't be going at it alone. Next year's festival will feature sets from some of their friends and biggest names in country music such as Kacey Musgraves, Hunter Hayes, Tedeshi Trucks Band and more.

    Lady Antebellum will make their first headline stop in Nashville - their hometown - on Sept. 11 at the Bridgestone Arena. Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood are embarking on a huge tour at the end of the month, heading to Europe before coming back to the States in May. Sam Hunt and Hunter Hayes will support the country trio.
  • New Hunter Hayes Album: Singer Spent Holidays Working on Music

    Hunter Hayes was able to take a break from the road this Christmas season, but that does not mean he was not working on new material. The Louisiana native said he would be working with other songwriters during the holidays before heading to Nashville for a couple shows at the venerable Bluebird Café. "My favorite thing to do is just go down to Louisiana — that's where I'm from — and just chill with the family," Hayes told Western TV in December. "Just go and sit on the couch and talk. Quality time is one of my favorite things in the world because we're always moving. So to sit still for a day is kind of unheard of." He reiterated that sentiment to ABC News Radio this week, but added in some work plans. "I just wanna chill," he said. "I just got a little bit of time to be creative in my little studio at home. Got some writers that are coming out to hang." While being at home is nice, it's not exactly Hayes's favorite place to be.

Among the performers this year were Aloe Blacc, Rita Ora, Darius Rucker, Christina Perri and Hunter Hayes. Oh, and President Barack Obama brought his family to the event as well.

    The 2014 edition of the "CMA Country Christmas" special aired last night, Dec. 1, and it featured some big names and classic tunes. Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson and Little Big Town were on hand to spread some holiday cheer. Aerosmith's Steven Tyler stopped by, and the whole event was hosted by Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles, who has been in control of the show for the last few years. Carrie Underwood, Hunter Hayes and Lucy Hale all contributed songs. A few of the highlights from the show came in the form of duets between artists of the country persuasion and guests from other genres. Tyler and Paisley teamed up for a revved-up version of "Run, Run Rudolph" that showcased the country star's guitar chops. The Aerosmith frontman has let on recently that he will be working on his next solo effort in Nashville, so this is a nice welcome to the scene. Check out the harmonica solo at 3:25:
  • Keith Urban Added as Headliner to Country Jam 2015

    Country star Keith Urban has been announced as one of the headliners of Country Jam 2015, "Taste of Country" reports, where he will be joining fellow superstars Tim McGraw and The Band Perry. The annual festival takes place at the Jam Ranch outside Grand Junction, Colorado, and will run next year from June 18 to 21. So far, just the three headliners have been announced, though more artists will be added soon.

    This year, the annual CMA Country Christmas will deliver plenty of holiday cheer on Monday, December 1 at 7 pm (CT) on ABC. Hosted again by Jennifer Nettles, the show will feature performances and special appearances by some of the biggest names in Country Music.
