At this point, a lot of people are wondering exactly what Jodi Arias's defense team has that has resulted in a second mistrial. Arias admittedly killed her lover Travis Alexander in 2008, and while her reasons for doing so have changed, the fact that it was overkill did not. This morning, March 5, the jury that has spent months listening to details during the penalty phase of this case decided that they cannot agree on a punishment. She has escaped the death penalty with a second hung jury. -
Jodi Arias's Fate in Murder of Travis Alexander in Jury's Hands
Phoenix prosecutor's have spent years trying to secure a death penalty decision against Jodi Arias for the brutal murder of her lover Travis Alexander, and today, Feb. 25, they are close to learning the defendant's fate. Twelve jurors spent the last four months sifting through information during a retrial of the penalty phase for Arias, and today jury deliberations are expected to begin. Either the admitted killer will be sentenced to life in prison or put to death by the state of Arizona.
