• Ty Segall Shares Title Track from EP 'Mr. Face' [LISTEN]

Next week, Ty Segall will be dropping his new EP "Mr. Face," but today the California garage rock wizard has shared the EP's title track through the Famous Class Records Bandcamp page, which you can check out below. The sound of the track comes off as a cross between Segall's last two solo albums "Manipulator" and "Sleeper," being largely acoustic and percussion free — at least until the end — but definitely not mellow in any way. If the rest of the EP is as good as this, then it is definitely worth your money. You can check out Ty Segall's "Mr. Face" here:
  • Ty Segall Announces New EP 'Mr. Face,' Released As A "Playable Pair Of 3D Glasses"

California garage rock extraordinaire Ty Segall has announced a new EP titled Mr. Face, which is set for release on Jan. 13 through Famous Class Records (that's the cover artwork up above). Though Mr. Face contains only four tracks, which could easily fit onto one record, the EP will be released as a double seven-inch, and is being billed as "the world's first playable pair of 3D glasses," which you're supposed to hold up to your eyes while you look at the record sleeve (as Segall helpfully demonstrates with this animated GIF over at Pitchfork).
  • Ty Segall Debuts Interactive Music Video For Manipulator [SCHEDULE]

Segall's label, Drag City, debuted the colorful, papier-mâché video on YouTube today, but there was a second option available on his website. Instead of just listening to the video, fans can "manipulate" certain objects in the video. This trippy feature allows the viewer to change colors of the background, pictures on the wall and even see what's inside Segall's cartoon head. The interactive nature of the video works well with Segall's bouncy, synth-heavy track.
