Fans of the seminal pop-rock band The Smiths are sure to be excited about a new biopic movie project announced earlier this week, focusing on iconic frontman Morrissey. Entitled Steven, the songwriter's first name, this film project is set to focus on the singer's teenage years leading up to meeting Smith's co-founder Johnny Marr and starting the band in 1982. In other words, we get a great glimpse into the part of Morrissey's life that influenced some of your favorite Smiths songs. The BBC's War and Peace miniseries star Jack Lowden has been cast in the title role. -

Morrissey is fighting back against bad reviews and overall criticism of his debut fiction novel, 'List Of The Lost', stating that they are "an attack against me as a human being." The book, which tells the story of a demonized relay team, is the singer/songwriter's second book, the first of which was his official memoir plainly titled 'Autobiography', which was released in October of 2013. Criticism against the book mainly points out the sex scenes, which many think were poorly written. -

Set to hit shelves in the UK next month, the son and heir's book is titled 'List Of The Los't via Penguin Books. Much like with the performer's 'Autobiography' (which was given Penguin Classics status upon first printing), the US publication date for his novel has yet to be determined but will most likely occur in the fall. -
