Selena Gomez confirmed earlier in the week that she was in the studio recording the follow-up to her 2014 greatest hits album For You. The "The Heart Wants What It Wants" singer wrote she would be recording for the next four months, even in hotel rooms, via Billboard. The former Disney star posted a few more pictures on her Instagram of her in the studio with various producers and songwriters, including German hit producer Zedd.

Though the post is not definitive for a collaboration, it shows them meeting in a studio. This could have just been a chance encounter in a Los Angeles studio, but with Selena Gomez recording a new album right now, it would make sense for these two hit makers to create something together.

Zedd responded to the instagram post with a tweet, saying he loved her new song. He did not comment on any potential new music from these two, though Gomez would probably want to keep any new material under wraps for now.

Zedd has shown he has the ability and willingness to work with artists outside the electronic music genre. Zedd recently appeared in a picture in the studio making "something crazy" alongside Maryland rapper Logic. He has shown he can tone down his glitchy electro to fit the crooning vocals of a young female popstar. His single "Break Free" with Ariana Grande showed that ability and continued his streak of radio hits.

If this collab happens, expect it to storm to the top of the charts.
