The Digital Age is set to release their debut full-length studio album, 'Evening: Morning,' on August 13.
The band released the single, 'Captured,' from their upcoming album in June, along with the official lyric video. Another video that they have released is a live video of them performing the ninth track on the upcoming album, 'Believe.' This video is interesting because The Digital age teamed up with Science Lab in order to make it into an interactive music video experience which allows fans to zero in on each of the band member's contributions to the song. In addition, the band has pre-released the song, 'All the Poor and Powerless,' from the upcoming album, on their EP from 2012, entitled, 'Rehearsals.'
The upcoming album will be released through Fair Trade Services and contains 12 tracks, beginning with their new single, 'Captured.'
The Digital Age is a band comprised of Jack Parker, Mike Dodson, Mark Waldrop, and Jeremy Bush, formerly of the David Crowder*Band. "While The Digital Age feels like a brand new chapter for us, it's really a continuation of what the David Crowder*Band was all about. The mission remains the same," said Waldrop, guitarist and vocalist for the band, according to Todays Christian Music. "The Digital Age exists to make music that bridges the gap between our mainstream culture and our Christian faith."
Their upcoming full-length album marks the beginning of a new age for the members of The Digital Age. They took about an 8-month break from performing before introducing themselves to fans in a new capacity with the release of their EP, 'Rehearsals,' in the Summer of 2012. The new EP saw great success taking the No. 1 spot on the iTunes® Christian Albums chart and giving fans a preview to what the future holds for this newly-formed group.
The title of the new album, 'Evening: Morning,' holds a great deal of meaning as the album takes a listener from night to the day. It also deals with the symbolism of light, which is associated with Christ and faith throughout the Bible.
