Labor Day Weekend in Calgary is about to get a whole lot better for hip-hop fans. Organizers for a brand new festival in the area, One Love Music Festival have announced the lineup, which will include an array of hip-hop legends and some of the hottest acts currently going in the genre. Among those tabbed to perform at the one-day festival will be Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon, East Coast icon, Nas, 2014 Forest Hills Drive rapper J. Cole, DMV rapper Wale and others.

The all-day affair will include other touring stars like Machine Gun Kelly and Kanye West collaborator Travi$ Scott, as well as some local talent like Bas & Cozz, who recently joined J. Cole on his European tour, Humble Giants and DJ Newboy.

Organizers insist that the event will be good clean family fun, notably since the event is all ages.

"That was super, super important to me ... the representation of what this festival stands for had to be duplicated by the artists. This is a festival, that if you're a parent and you have a 16-year-old kid, you'll feel comfortable sending them because it's a good, positive vibe," says Faizel Dhalla, owner of local promotion company Two Towers, which is behind One Love, to the Calgary Herald.

Dhalla would like to make this an annual event that garners worldwide attention.

"I would love to build this up to have the name recognition that some of the biggest festivals in the world have, so people can expect a great product every year."
