Birdman may have professed his love for his "son," Lil Wayne, late last month when interviewing with radio personality Angie Martinez despite the Young Money frontman's impending $51 million lawsuit but reports are now suggesting otherwise. Recently, Young Thug and and Birdman were named as co-conspirators in the shooting of Wayne's tour bus that took place in late April in Atlanta, Georgia after a show. Since then, Birdman has come forth publicly denouncing those claims. However, trigger man, Jimmy Winfrey, suggests otherwise and claims in court documents that the Cash Money Record CEO orchestrated the whole scheme and should also be held liable.

Back in April while on a tour stop in Georgia, Wayne's tour bus was shot at after leaving an Atlanta night club where he had gotten into a heated exchange with audience members causing the concert to end early. Upon leaving the premises, Wayne's tour bus was ambushed with firepower shortly thereafter, thus leading to Winfrey's arrest.

According to Winfrey, the one true motivating factor behind the whole incident is Birdman's financial straits at the hands of Wayne. In the court records, Winfrey implored the court to also hold Birdman liable for the shooting. Winfrey, who has ties to Young Thug and his road manager, is also affiliated with the Blood gang and he took the lead as the shooter to help elevate his standings within the gang by attempting to take out the high profile YM CEO. Winfrey is facing charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of a firearm by a felon and criminal gang activity.

We're not entirely sure how this will bode for Birdman just yet, but we'll have to stay tuned as the plot continues to thicken.
