Joe Anderson was recently seen in front of the Houston Texan's stadium, holding a sign made out of a cardboard box. On the sign, he wrote, "Not homeless...but STARVING for success!!! Will Run Routes 4 food. #Whateverittakes #underdog #IBelieve #Hungry."

The former Chicago Bears wide receiver then posted this image on Instagram. The post garnered almost 10,000 likes and the attention of New York Jets' wide receiver, Brandon Marshall. A former Chicago Bear himself, Marshall shared the image and referred to Anderson as "one of the hardest working guys I've had the pleasure playing with." Now, it appears the two will be playing side by side again, as the Jets have decided to sign Anderson.

According to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, Anderson has been signed to the Jets' practice squad. Last week, Anderson posted on Instagram that he had met with the Jets, but had not received a contract.

In an exerpt from the caption of Anderson's original Instagram post, the receiver said, "Im not looking at my situation with a worldly mindset and that's what's gonna seperate (sic) me my hunger can't be matched my heart can't be compared too, I'm outside the Houston Texans facility every morning, because I kno what type of gift God has blessed me with!!! A lot of people don't really live out the meaning #WhateverItTakes they just sayin it!!! You gotta really live that junk if you say it and believe in yourself and trust in the Lord, and living it don't just mean hold up a sign!! Oh there is much pain behind holding this sign an it's not from bein doubted or the underdog, like how bad do you really want it??"

It seems Anderson's prayers have been answered, and hopefully we'll see him playing for the Jets in a matter of time.
