Priscilla Presley has reached a settlement with granddaughter Riley Keough regarding her late daughter's estate, Lisa Marie.
As a result, Priscilla is set to inherit a sizeable amount.
Radar Online recently reported that Priscilla is in line to receive millions from a trust. An insider revealed that Riley Keough, the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley, will be allowing Priscilla to have both a payout and input regarding the trust's operations.
The source believes Lisa Marie would have wanted this for her mother.
Things took a legal turn after Elvis' former wife, objected to an amendment in Lisa Marie's will that removed not only herself but also Barry Siegel, her ex-business manager, as co-trustees.
Riley and Benjamin Keough, Lisa Marie's son, took their place. Sadly, Benjamin passed away due to suicide in 2020.
At the news of Priscilla's legal move, it was reported that a stunned look crossed Riley's face.
In addition to her legal dispute with Priscilla, Lisa Marie Presley was also distressed that the custody of her mother's 14-year-old twins, Finley and Harper, had been granted to Michael Lockwood - the estranged ex-husband.
This situation did not sit well with Priscilla as she felt it would not have been what her daughter desired.
The divorce of Lisa Marie and Michael had left a sour taste in the mouth of the former, yet Priscilla still maintained contact with her ex-husband. This resulted in a growing divide between mother and daughter.
It has been observed that before Lisa Marie's untimely death, Priscilla and her daughter had become somewhat estranged, not seeing eye to eye, as it were.
Despite this, Riley and Priscilla maintained a strong relationship, with many noting they were closer than most mothers and daughters. It appeared more like a friendship rather than a traditional parent-child dynamic.
On Thursday, January 12, news began to spread that Lisa Marie Presley had been taken to the hospital. She reportedly had gone into cardiac arrest in her home and failed to regain consciousness.
That evening, Priscilla Presley confirmed the sad truth: her daughter had departed.
In a heartbreaking statement, she said, "It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us."
She went on to say, "She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for your love and prayers."
